Privacy and transparency – Little pages

Little pages is an application dedicated to learning written language. The Android client application connects to a server in order to update the word list in real time, news from the development school, including the release of new videos on our channel. The application also retrieves images from its server to use them when the words are in the sequences or in the list of next added words and then delete them once the word is sufficiently presented. We do not collect personal data. The connection between the server and the client application is encrypted using an SSL certificate.

What is the Little pages app. Little pages is a proprietary application, allowing a young child to learn reading for the first time. This software was designed to run on an Android tablet for its easy handling and thus provide brief reading sessions adapted to the concentration time span of a child of this age.

data gathering :

Little pages does not collect personal data. The Early Reading application must access the internet to function correctly (for downloading images associated with words). However, you can use the application offline. The application also downloads images of the next words presented, which allows you to stay for some time without an internet connection. Early Reading does not collect personal data, for example the application does not access the location of the device, nor does it access your contacts or any data concerning your financial information.

User progress

Little pages store user progress inside an unencrypted sqlite database on the android device. Images uploaded to the development school server are stored on the android device as long as the word remains in the next presented words or in a sequence. Once the words become inactive again, the associated images are deleted to free up space on the Android device. This is largely why we developed a server.
Data transfer :To communicate with the server l’école du développement, an SSL certificate is used to encrypt exchanges and limit various risks.

Target Audience:

although the application is intended for learning to read a baby from one year to six years, this application remains a tool for parents responsible for the child. The application has a double target audience, the parent who will use the application to teach their young child new words, and the child himself who will receive the learning. The application has not been developed so that the child is alone with the tablet. Pediatric companies recommend against screen use at this age; do not leave your child alone on the tablet, even with the application Little pages.
